The heart of Joyería Frutal is Rosa Montenegro, whose inventiveness and knowledge on fruits and dyes – passed on by her grandmother – paved the way to create a thriving business. After a back injury left her without the possibility of returning to her job, Rosa began experimenting with dehydrated fruits and sought for ways to make them into jewelry.

In this Maker Spotlight, take a look at her extraordinary story and follow us through the process of making one of her most popular products: jewelry made out of mango seeds.
